"WOW! I had the best tan in my 20's & 30's. Now with Dr. Lotstein's' help I'm getting my skin rejuvenated. I have completed my second Intense Pulse Light/Photo-Rejuvenation treatment and I can't wait for my second microdermabrasion treatment. My skin is becoming so healthy; my friends are starting to notice and ask me what I'm doing. I rarely wear make up and have so much confidence interacting with other people. I recommend this skin care program to anyone that instills a health outlook on life." Featured Procedures |
PhotorejuvenationPeople say Photorejuvenation makes them look ten years younger. Photorejuvenation is one of the most popular treatments we do at UltimA Medical Spa. The treatments are designed to produce younger and healthier looking skin. As most of us age, we begin to see visible signs of sun damage, time, and lifestyle choices appearing in our complexion. This aged look may include freckles, Rosacea, wrinkles, broken capillaries, dark spots, blotchy skin color, redness of the face and neck, enlarged pore size and uneven pigmentation. Photorejuvenation is the only procedure that can treat vascular redness, the appearance of Rosacea, pigmented brown spots, sun damage, skin texture, and collagen structure all at once. With the use of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL™) technology, dramatic improvements can now be accomplished with little or no "downtime" and with very minimal discomfort. How does Photorejuvenation work and how can it help me?Photorejuvenation is performed by gently delivering light energy to the skin through a special hand-piece. Areas of sun damaged are targeted by the laser. Pigmentation or age spots are lifted off the skins' surface and redness and veins are vaporized by the light. Photorejuvenation is an excellent treatment for rosacea, a skin condition that resembles acne. The Laser helps to tightening pores and softens wrinkles. Your complexion becomes even-toned and your skin shows that youthful glow again. Who is an ideal candidate for photo rejuvenation?Generally ideal candidates for Photo Rejuvenation are people that have:
Are there any risks or complications involved? We have done hundreds of these procedures and you can rely on a safe treatment. Unlike facial plastic surgery, there is no actual pain experienced during the procedure. Most patients have compared the procedure to feel like a mild heat sensation on the skin. We apply a numbing cream for ultimate comfort. After treatment there can be mild redness or swelling that may last up to twenty-four hours. There is practically no post-operative discomfort. A flushed appearance may be present. We can apply our UltimA Mineral Makeup to cover any redness and you may continue with your normal activities the rest of the day. We would recommend that you do not expose your area treated to the sun, hot tubs or do any intense exercise for 24 hours afterwards. You may be provided some instructions to follow after each treatment; these instructions may include avoiding certain skin cleansers and using sun block for best results. Will I have to repeat this procedure?During the first treatment series, there is a significant change in the skin’s appearance. These improvements will steadily increase with each visit. To achieve optimal results, a series of five to eight treatments may be needed. The number of treatments depends on the amount of correction an area needs. On the plus side, these treatments only take minutes to do. Alternating IPL and Microdermabrasion treatments have shown the best regimen for skin rejuvenation effect than IPL treatments alone and are our most popular series of treatments. What results will I expect after undergoing Photo Rejuvenation?Once the final results of the treatments are revealed the individual should notice one or more of the following:
