"I had a microdermabrasion treatment for the first time and what a pleasant experience it was. Besides making my skin feel very soft, smooth and refreshed, I felt as though I had a relaxing face massage. My skin was renewed after just one treatment; I definitely will be seeing Dr. Lotstein for more treatments." Featured Procedures |
MicropeelsYears of exposure to harsh environmental conditions can damage skin, obscuring clarity, tone, color and texture. For the past several decades, our formulas we use in our Micropeels have led the way in developing state-of-the-art therapeutic skin care treatments that can correct damage associated with chronological aging. Our Micropeels are safe, in-office procedures that require minimal to little recovery time. We tailor Micropeels to your specific skin needs. A Micropeel will improve your skin texture, color, and overall appearance as well as decrease the apparent size of your pores in a much shorter time than RetinA or any Rx product from a pharmacy. Because our Micropeels are more potent, they offer significant advantages over skin care products alone. Our treatments are very relaxing and can help you achieve a state of “being” away from your busy lifestyle. How does a Micropeel work? There are three levels of peeling that may be recommended; progressive (successive applications that result in no visible exfoliation but slowly overtime the skin begins to rejuvenate), mid-depth (mild flaking occurs within 2-3 days of the treatment), and deep (more aggressive peeling, but removal is at the epidermal level). Your individual Micropeel may contain an alpha-hydroxy acid, salicylate acid/beta acid, trichloracetic acid, L-retinal, resorcinol, modified jessner, red wine vinegar acid, enzymes or a combination of these chemicals. Many of the acids are derived from natural plants and fruits. “Getting a Micropeel is really like a day in the spa,” our clients say. You may experience mild temporary burning or itching for a short period. A handheld fan and/or a topical numbing agent can be provided for your comfort. However, most people find Micropeels immensely pleasurable because of our personal touch. We also apply nutrients to your skin during these treatments to stimulate your skin to its healthiest. Immediately following your Micropeel, we offer to apply our UltimA Mineral Makeup not only so you can return to your usual activities, but also for our makeup’s calming therapeutic effect. Most people will have no outward immediate evidence of the peel, but those with fair skin may have a red complexion for up to a day. “Laser” resurfacing chemical peels, only done by Dr. Lotstein, are also available for those that have bigger challenges with their skin. What results can I look for and how do I maintain these results?Following each peel, your dead superficial skin cells may invisibly shed or you will see active peeling. You will see the maximal effect two weeks after each peel. We recommend using our Post Peel Kit to keep your skin moist and supplied with nutrients to achieve the best results. Six peels may be required at two week intervals to achieve optimal results, but our recommendations may vary. After a series of treatments, it is best to maintain your results with a Micropeel every one to three months. For best results Micropeels are used in conjunction with our skin care program. If you haven't already began our skin care products, come in today and get started on your way to the healthiest skin you can have. What Micropeels won’t do:As long as your expectations are realistic, there are few disadvantages. Most notably, Micropeels will not improve dynamic wrinkles (best treated with Botox) or larger skin fold wrinkles (best treated with cosmetic fillers or Silhouette Lifts) . |
