She is a graduate of Idaho State University and received her medical degree from Des Moines University in 1989. Dr. Lotstein returned to Idaho to start her medical practice after completing her residency in Internal Medicine at Sanford University. Dr. Lotstein has been board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
